THE JACKSON CLINICS:
Hands on Physical Therapy

Orthopedic and sports medicine therapy designed to help you achieve optimal movement, function and health.

The Jackson Clinics, LLC is a locally owned physical therapy practice in ten locations throughout Northern Virginia. Founded by Richard Jackson, PT, OCS, we specialize in outpatient orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. Our therapists and assistants possess advanced clinical skills in spinal disorders, sacroiliac joint dysfunction and peripheral joint problems, including rotator cuff injuries, knee injuries and foot and ankle pain.

Quality and consistency of care are the cornerstones of our practice. Quality means doing things that work. We design programs of care that have been proven to be effective treatment interventions. You can expect individualized, hands on care.

Consistency is achieved because all professional staff use the same evaluation formats in assessing your condition. It is the evaluation that dictates the treatments chosen. Regardless of who you see, every therapist evaluates you the same way. Further, we understand that two things are required for you to improve. First, patient education is essential you must understand your condition. Second, the therapist can't do it all. You must be an active participant in your care.

Richard Jackson, PT, OCS: Richard Jackson PT, OCS has practiced physical therapy for 34 years. He was recently granted an honorary Doctor of Science degree by Shenandoah University in recognition of his contributions to the field of physical therapy. He is highly regarded as a clinician, educator, and researcher.

Mr. Jackson has taught nationally and internationally in the field of lower extremity biomechanics, gait, spinal and pelvic joint dysfunction. He has presented his research in conferences in England, Australia, Austria, Canada, India, and of course, the United States. "Clinical research is essential if we are to understand what works and what does not" says Jackson. "I expect my professional staff to be involved in clinical research.,"

In the past twenty years Mr. Jackson has taught over 400 continuing education courses. About his teaching he states, "I can be most effective as a clinician by teaching therapists how to treat their patients better. I touch thousands of patients every day through the therapists that have taken my courses. I personally train every therapist and assistant who works in The Jackson Clinics. Quality and consistency, that's our goal"
